Here are a few reviews from our January team. We were blessed to have a team of 10 join along side of our staff here in Thailand to help teach English through activities in two different schools here in Northern Thailand.
**Thailand was definitely an amazing experience for me. It was great to doing new things, tasting new foods, and definitely meeting new people! We went to 2 camps, both camps were three days long. We had a five stations: cooking, crafts, picture illustration, games and English. We had two teachers per station and the kids divided into groups and rotated to each station. Teaching picture illustration was great, it was awesome seeing how creative the kids were with there drawlings! We taught them 6 different English words per day at each station…. so it was great teaching them new English words and also learning some Thai words. The other day I got a message from one of the girls at camp. She said “I will remember English you taught me, I will remember it will my heart”. So the work done in camps definitely make an impact one each of the kids lives. Keep praying for all the kids in Thailand. It was amazing communicating with the kids… it was kinda hard and confusing at times but thankfully everyone Does smile in the same language. -Kendra Musser (member of the January 2019 team)
**Spending several weeks in Thailand was an amazing experience for me! Working with children is something that I’ve always enjoyed and being involved with the English camps was no exception. Ken, James, and Kim did a wonderful job of keeping things flowing smoothly everyday. The language barrier was a bit of a struggle at times, but with the help of an interpreter and “Google Translate,” we were able to communicate quite well with most of the students. Teaching the classes was great, and playing with them after school was always exciting for both students and teachers. They loved to teach us soccer skills and also enjoyed learning some new American games as well. All in all it was a great time and a wonderful opportunity to see another culture and share the Gospel with the Thai people. Keep praying for the work in Thailand!
